Stop by MN Soybean Tent at Farmfest

  07/29/09 1:11:33 PM

The Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council (MSR&PC) and the Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) invite you to stop by their tent (#618) at Farmfest, August 4-6, 2009.

Visitors to the MN Soybean tent will once again have the chance to learn the latest soybean news and network with leaders from a variety of ag organizations, including the Minnesota Pork Producers, Minnesota Farm & Food Coalition (MFFC) and Minnesota Ag Water Resources Coalition (MAWRC.) Attendees should also be prepared to test their knowledge of the livestock industry with the United Soybean Board’s (USB) animal ag prize wheel.

While you’re there be sure to register yourself, your children or grandchildren for the great prizes. Those who become new members of MSGA (or renew an expired membership) will be entered in a drawing to win one of two air impact wrench sets valued at $200; kids under the age of seven register for child-size ag equipment; and don’t forget about Farmfest’s grandprize giveaway - four $500 gift certificates to be used towards the purchase of biodiesel (B5 or higher.)

After the Farmfest gates close on Tuesday, MN Soybean welcomes everyone to head over to the Redwood County Fairgrounds in Redwood Falls at 6:30 p.m. to cheer on their favorite renewable fuel during the Biodiesel Tractor Pull. Pullers will be utilizing a blend of 10 percent biodiesel for the event.

MN Soybean is also encouraging Farmfest attendees to help the Ag Utilization Research Institute (AURI) celebrate 20 years of ag innovation by bringing non perishable food or personal care items to their tent (#612) at Farmfest. Donations will be accepted all three days during show hours and proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Hartland.
